Who's a Deadbeat Now?

Too many to call deadbeats

Foreclosures on prime-fixed rate mortgages are on the increase having jumped to a record high in the third quarter as "credit worthy" buyers were slammed by unemployment. Foreclosures rose 2.45% from 2.36% in the last three months for prime buyers. Both figures were the highest in the 12 years the Mortgage Bankers association began tracking categories.

Deadbeat Re-defined

Job cuts mean falling behind on payments, even for those with good credit history. Even the lucky few who received modifications have fallen behind and those now are showing a 50% re-default rate after one year.

Before HAMP (Home Affordable Modification Program) almost half of the mortgages in 2009 were 90 days late.Six months after changing mortgage terms 11% of hamp loans were delinquent. compared with 22% of loans from other sources.
Hamp lowers payments to about a third of the borrowers income by temporarily reducing interest, lengthening the term and deferring principal payments. But even this is not enough when faced with unemployment and it doesn't matter how much you save -when you have no money at all.

Alan Simpson
 Deadbeats and Social Parasites.

Wyoming Republican Alan Simpson co-chair of Obama's bipartisan deficit commission recently lashed out at senior citizens calling them them "greedy" for being upset about his idea to cut Social Security benefits while lowering corporate tax cuts to balance the budget.
"I've never had any nastier mail or been in a more difficult position in my life." Simpson said. "just ridiculous. People I've known, relatives (saying) you son of a bitch. How could you do this?"

The draft report released by Simpson and fellow co-chair Erskine Bowles proposed raising the retirement age to 69 and taxing 90% of social security income.
Simpson's plan has come to be called "the cat food commission for it's draconian cuts that seem to target the poorest most vulnerable citizens while giving a pass on corporations and the top 2%. He has referred to Social Security as a milk cow with-"310 million tits."

Simpson appears to forget he is drinking the milk from that tax-payer cow-complete with health coverage.

Capitalist Parasite
 The Real Deadbeats

Dictionary definition deadbeat; One who deliberately avoids paying debts. And debt itself means something owed.

Social Deadbeat-Recipients of the Bush tax cuts who in exchange for promising to create jobs for America abused the privilege by hoarding the money investing in themselves.

Corporate Deadbeats-corporate CEO's who have robbed America, destroyed companies, cost Americans millions of jobs and still give themselves billions in bonuses.

Financial Deadbeats- Too Big to Fail financial institutions who gambled their way into financial ruin-then sought Welfare bailouts.

Moral deadbeats-Health insurers who find loop holes to game the system by denying or canceling coverage or raise premiums to maintain higher and higher profit margins.

Political deadbeats-Politicians on both sides who ignore their constituents and focus on internal power struggles between themselves refusing to work together for the common good.

Supreme court deadbeats- ruling on "citizens united" legalizing bribery by allowing corporations to buy politicians anonymously by dumping cash into campaigns.

Deadbeat's be damned Run on the banks 2010

December 7th is make a run on the banks day where protesters will withdraw all their funds from the big banks most responsible for the global financial melt down. The idea has spread across Europe and is gaining traction in America. It's time to take a bite out the banks by refusing to participate in their criminal enterprise.

Bite The Banks
The targeted banks are Bank of America, J.P.Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo.

Theses banks are economic terrorists.

Join the world in a global protest.

December 7th 2010

Tell them Merry Christmas from uncle Scrooge.

Hungry Doesn't Mean Hungry Anymore.

This Little Pig is never full

Food insecurity

The new definition of the well understood-painfully felt-reality once called hunger is food insecurity - a double speaker's way to soften the effect -as if calling hunger something else will make it seem like it's "all in your head."

Imagine calling pain "sensation anxiety" or referring to death as "the anti-life experience."

Since Republicans blocked unemployment benefits set to end November 30th, many more Americans will face "food insecurity" during the holidays-along with -no roof over our heads insecurity-no presents for the kids- insecurity and we can't pay the electric bill-insecurity.

The food insecure can join the health care insecure too-which is now 50.7 million people and joining the party -more of the actually unemployed-not the government's "official" number which excludes those not counted anymore- and those who are only "marginally"employed-or those who work for themselves-or anyone else not making enough to live on who don't qualify for benefits.

If you add those once full time workers who go uncounted to those "officially" counted it adds up to a whopping 23% of the unemployed work force in America. Not everyone who works gets unemployment compensation.Sneaky little trick-this non-counting game that makes things appear better than they are.

Count only those who have applied for benefits and you get the governments figure of  9%. Long term discouraged workers were written out of the statistics long ago -way back in 1994.

23% means one in five people are unemployed-that is about the same figure during the Great Depression.

Trickle Down Poverty

Prognosis; Middle Class
If you figure in a family of four where both parents work and just one loses unemployment benefits that means the actual hardship felt is all four members-and if one parent loses medical benefits that were covering everyone in the family that means even more people lose health coverage.
If someone gets sick and requires hospitalization that expense wipes out the wealth of all four. Then when the home is in foreclosure all four people become homeless. One lost job means income loss for four...or more.

This is real trickle down economics-not the fantasy pitched by Ronald Reagan.  Wealth doesn't trickle down only poverty does. For wealth to trickle down would require a willingness to share and a sense of responsibility towards the common good-and as we have all found out that just didn't happen.

Poverty- like a hot potato nobody can handle-gets passed down as something everybody wants to get rid of-so any sharing of wealth has to be forced on people-via taxes. It's like a sick patient refusing to take medication that will save their life- the patients refusal to take the pill  becomes more important than getting well.
So the patient dies and leaves his family stuck with the funeral expenses.Conservatives take this "I got Mine."approach to their fellow citizens.Refusing to pony up a little more in taxes-so we get stuck with their funeral expenses.

Bank bailouts can been equated as reverse "free enterprise" where the profits are hoarded by the "capitalists" but the losses get paid by the people.Imagine running a business where when times are good you reap in the dough-but when you screw up and lose money-you expect your neighbors to pay for it.

Take..take..and take some more.

According to the Commerce Dept. report-American business earned profits at a rate of $1,659 trillion in the third quarter. Wall Street's argument for it's payout of enormous bonuses is higher pay attracts the best minds.
But what kind of minds does it attract? In any given society 5% of the population has sociopathic tendencies. Wall Street is teeming with people who are lacking a conscience-as are the Banks and corporations. Asking ourselves, "how can they be so greedy" is a meaningless waste of energy-you can no more figure out a serial killers mind than you can a sociopathic banker's mind.

What needs to be done is fight fire with fire-pull the plug on their money machine-stop using their banks-stop using credit cards and don't buy products from any company known for abusive practices like cutting wages or health benefits.

There is plenty of job creation going on- it's just not happening here.

When State and local governments are overwhelmed with the newly impoverished and people seeking benefits flood the offices of social services looking for some relief the pressure will build. And when it becomes clear to more Americans that the banks have been operating a ponzi scheme for too many years-that pressure will build even more.

Lazy American meme

With 5 people applying for every available job Republicans can't play the blame game anymore. The average unemployment check is around $300 a week-a fraction of former wages-no one is getting fat off the proceeds of unemployment. They are barely making it as it is. Still the lies continue courtesy of the right wing.

Poll after poll has shown that Americans are more worried about jobs and the economy yet republicans focus on the national debt-using their first post election priority to de-fund NPR and oppose unemployment extensions.

Going forward the GOP wants to gut health care-cut spending and protect the wealthy from paying their fair share-relying on the trickle down mythology that failed. Still the lies continue courtesy of the right wing.

Clinging to failed ideas is very telling indeed -it says loudly and clearly-"we don't know what else to do." That's all there is to it.....it's as simple as that.

They don't know what to do.

They will only make life worse for the average American.

They will take the money and run.

Boycott the Big Banks

Boycott the corporations who move jobs over seas.

Boycott the predators

It's time to give unto these "others" as the have given unto you.

Let's try a little trickle down of our own.

Where's The Note?

Note! What Note?

MBS-or Mortgage Backed Securities-the sliced and diced "investments" sold to countless investors world wide and retirement pensions might not be worth as much as a the paper they were written on.

Mortgage backed securities are like bonds -that they promise to pay a fixed amount of interest for a defined period of time. They were created when a company buys a bunch of mortgages from a primary lender (Big Bank) and then uses your monthly payments and those of thousands of others, as the money stream to pay investors.

Buyers of MBS take comfort in knowing the worth of the bond doesn't rest on the credit worthiness of just a few potential defaulters-but on the -probably good- credit worthiness of a lot of home buyers-since defaulting on a home loan used to be pretty uncommon. As long as people paid their mortgages and the interest rate stayed low- MBS were considered pretty safe investments.

What! ----No mortgages?

When Bank of America acquired Countrywide Financial in 2008 it inherited the problems that countrywide created-which not only includes the missing mortgages in the illegal foreclosures scandal- but now there missing mortgages- in the mortgage backed securities.

Testimony taken under oath in a bankruptcy case in New Jersey has shown the possibility of a common practice of not passing along mortgage notes as part of the securitization process. Sub prime originators stopped conveying notes to mortgage trusts as stipulated in the pooling and servicing agreement

If the mortgages weren't properly transferred-then mortgage backed securities would in fact not be backed by any mortgages. Not transferring mortgages into trusts would cloud the titles of nearly every property in the US- and could cause a massive buyback (where banks have to re-purchase crappy bonds) and liabilities in the trillions of dollars- would exceed the capital of all the major too Big to Fail banking institutions.

Countrywide the largest sub prime lender reported it securitized 96% of its loans which may prove false.
This shoddy practice when thoroughly investigated my prove the status quo for all of the big banks which explains their hurry up and foreclose ASAP tactics to sweep the mess under the rug.

The goal behind the housing boom could prove to be that the intention on the part of lenders -was never to help individuals and families fulfil the American dream of having a home of their own-but to create as many mortgages as possible to be re-packaged into over inflated mortgage backed securities-that contained no mortgages-and repeatedly sold for additional profit. When the proper and legal transfer proved too slow they simply ignored it. Then these "banksters" turned around and put the blame on the the backs of the homeowners who defaulted on their mortgages.

Banks Pray for Miracle
 But Wait....We can Splain...really!

An attempt by Bank of America to "splain" it all away hasn't convinced anyone they were up to no good..

B of A "splains" it like this- "The associate whose testimony was cited in the ruling was asked about a process outside her normal scope of responsibilities" -translation-she doesn't know what she's talking about.

She let it slip under oath that not transferring mortgages was a common practice at Countywide. And-the note in question in this case was proven to have never been transferred to the trustee-and was never endorsed.

The missing note in this one case went missing in 2006 so every transaction before and after is questionable and could mean millions of homes may not have clear titles. Cloudy titles makes selling those properties nearly impossible-leaving home owners stuck in a legal limbo.

The Congressional Oversight Panel put it best;

"Clear and uncontested property rights are the foundation of the housing market. If these rights fall into question, that foundation could collapse."

But the banks are still insisting these duplicitous shenanigans are "technical difficulties."

The Three Devils

There are three devils plaguing Bank of America at this time;

(1) First they have judges looking closer at all their foreclosure documents submitted in court.

(2) They have state Attorney's General investigating for foreclosure fraud.

(3) They have investors demanding they buy back the junk bonds they sold them.

And this is just the beginning-because now the the mortgage insurers who paid out on defaulted mortgages-that were never there, are joining the line in the lawsuit line dance.

The banks may cry for another bail out. But the American public has had enough-and they won't find any sympathy there.

What the banks do require is bankruptcy-and a prison sentence for the ones at the top.

There's no get out of jail free card on this one.

And no magic lamp to rub....and no genie to come to the rescue.

PS December 7th is France's National run on the banks day-in protest thousands of people are withdrawing their money-all at once. Support this effort-get out of the big banks today.

Does God Love Anyone Anymore?

"You are too weak to lead us"
Christianity seems to be suffering an identity crisis.

Seems everyone has a different spin on what it means to be Christian. And if you listen to the manufactured -controversy- media- machine- you might think Christianity has taken a turn -towards "that other guy."

Full of hate speech-packed with interpretations of cherry picking preachers who "spin" bible passages as if composing an attack ad for a political campaign.

God as Hater

The Westboro Baptist church declares God hates fags..God Hates America...God hates Sweden? And of course any group outside of their magic circle-which is everyone but their 70 or so odd members.

GOD HATES DOMES

A new church being built in Arizona is under attack as a perceived mosque simply because of it's dome like structure. Church leaders have had to place a sign outside the Light of the World multi-denominational church to protect itself from would be islamaphobes with a sign that reads "if you think we are praying different-you are wrong. We are building a Christian house of prayer."

Image a church having to declare it is praying to"the Right God" in order to avoid persecution from the very group that once professed "love" as it's ultimate strength.

                                                                                                               God Hates Soldiers too

Recently the Westboro Baptist Church protested the funeral of Army SGT. Jason McClusky's in Oklahoma. When finished picketing- they returned to find all four tires had been slashed on their van.

Driving away they found not a single person or business willing to help. They were forced to call AAA and have the van towed away on a flat bed truck. They also faced a counter protest of nearly a hundred people and had to be escorted by local police. God works in mysterious ways.

Church members claim because the US tolerates homosexuality that God hates America. They believe homosexuality should be a capital crime.(God loves the death penalty) Recognized as a hate group by Southern Poverty Law Center and The Anti-Defamation League the "church" is really a front for the Fred Phelps family of law- suit- as- income scam artists who use inflammatory language to cause confrontation in which they provoke an attack-then sue the attacker.

Jesus was a Wimp

Reverend Steven Anderson of the faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona told his congregation that he prays "President Obama dies and goes to hell" Not wishing Obama be made a martyr-he took the softer stance saying," I'd like to see him die, like Ted Kennedy of brain cancer,"

Mormons shoveled tons of money in their own televised hate speech against California's prop.8 concerning gay marriage. The religious right points to the suicide rate among gay teenagers as proof that the gay lifestyle is destructive-as they- armed with hate speech -seek to drive them there.

God Hates Grizzly Bears and Girlie Ways

Bears are god's "curse"
Bryan Fisher-Director of Issues Analysis for American Family Association  a conservative Christian group-says the Medal of Honor has been feminized. He thinks Christianity has fallen prey to a weakened feminized version of Christianity "that is about the softer virtues-such as compassion-and not about the muscular Christian virtues of individual responsibility and accountability.

"We now award it only for preventing casualties not for inflicting them.

Maybe Fischer should create his own version of the Medal of Honor program where a special award could be given to those who kill civilians.

He also thinks that wild grizzly bears should be exterminated because they have killed people."One human being is worth more than an infinite number of grizzly bears. If it's a choice between grizzlies and humans-the grizzlies have to go."

Thou Shalt Not Divert Steal

Minnesota's Governor Tim Pawlenty has diverted funds from the "Support Our Troops" license plate program to his Governors Office of Faith Based Initiatives,an office that works to connect religious organizations with state funds. $30,000 dollars from the program meant for the Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs went instead- to pay a staff member at the Faith Initiatives office-which is part of the Governors Office.

Lie,Cheat,Steal,Hate..In the name of God.

Religion-especially those of an evangelical or fundamental foundation seem to have a lot in common with oppressive or totalitarian regimes. Conservative Christianity behaves more like a Too Big to Fail corporation that seems less concerned with the harm they cause in their desire to expand. The message being what is good for Corporation Christ justifies the evil it inflicts. The actions aren't important as long as the message is heard. But that message seems to be coming from a sociopath.

Before Christianity was hijacked by the Roman Empire it was seen as the faith of the poor and oppressed-with a promise of greater rewards in the afterlife. But wealthy powerful Romans were not so willing to give up their rewards in the material world in exchange for the rewards on the spiritual realm. To become attractive Christianity had to start promising more goodies in the current material world.

Corporate Take Over of Christ

This is where the idea that wealth and power-bestowed on some-by God-was validation that they were meant to rule. That idea has spread like a cancer becoming the theology of groups like the Heritage Foundation and The Fellowship both Conservative Christian elitist groups.

There was a time when mainstream religions used to be a buffer against hatred. Now a huge group of evangelical Christians enable the hate, and the question once asked by many church leaders,"What would Jesus do?" has been jettisoned to the circular filing cabinet.

Now they ask "what will WE do? "

While everyone was asleep Conservative Christians staged a Coup d'e'tat on God.

By the way...in case you didn't know ...killing bears is Really bad Karma.

"Where's My Health Care?"

"Where's My Health Care?"

In a letter to wanna be House Speaker John Boehner-and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Democrats are urging Republicans to turn down their government subsidised Health Care Coverage.

Encouraging Republicans to stick to their principals (?) by giving up what they oppose for every American -affordable health care.

"You cannot enroll in the very kind of coverage that you want for yourselves and then turn around and deny it to Americans who don't happen to be members of Congress."-wrote Rep.Joe Crowley (D-NY) "If your conference wants to deny millions of Americans affordable health care, your members should walk that walk."

28 Days Later...

This letter was a response to heavy whining from freshman Rep.-elect- Andy Harris's (R-MD) disbelief he couldn't get immediate coverage and would have to wait until February 1st -for his government subsidised health coverage to begin.

Harris- who denounced the public option as "a gateway to socialized medicine" inquired if he could purchase coverage from the government to cover the 28 day gap.  Harris who is an anesthesiologist-inquired if he could purchase coverage until then -as federal law mandates that his coverage won't begin immediately. One of Harris's campaign promises was-"I will fight to repeal health care reform."

Cry me a river...

According to a new study by the Center of Responsive Politics nearly half-261-Congressional members are millionaires-And of these -55- have an average calculated wealth in 2009 of $10 million or more with eight in the $100 million -plus range. It doesn't seem too unreasonable to ask them to give up their government perks.

All Cluck and No Drumstick?

Where'd Everybody Go?

So far only one Republican has stood up to plate. Rep.-elect Bobby Shilling (R-IL) told ABC News that "Congress shouldn't have anything better than the American people." He has pledged to reject his health plan-along with benefit package." I'm not taking the pensions, I'm not taking pay raises and my family and I are bringing our own health care to Washington DC."

When it comes down to it maybe the secret to getting health care for free is you need to be rich.

That must be what most Americans are doing wrong. We are still thinking in the old way..and haven't learned the new version of common sense...common nonsense.

Common Nonsense -also known as Conservathink is the way conservatives make sense out of things we think completely insane -which explains their clinging to failed policies, trickle down and the idea that the more money you have means-the more you expect to get things for free. The benefits that used to be only for the poor- (welfare-medicaid-etc.) have been hijacked by the rich-in the forms of tax breaks-congressional benefit packages-and bail outs. All freebies at our expense.

And all the railing about the poor being the "takers" in society are just a cover to distract everyone from the truth-that the predatory rich are really the bottom feeding welfare queens who are sucking the economy dry. They just  happen to dress better than most of us.

HR 3808-The Boomerang Bill

That pesky bill Obama vetoed in October-The Interstate Recognition of Notarization Act. made a sudden reappearance last week. This bill would have been used by the Big Banks as a get out of jail free card-making robo-signing legal.

Though President Obama vetoed it -It (as if by magic) was reintroduced to the House in an attempt to override (veto the veto) Nearly every single Republican voted to override-which could have given banksters more protection. (don't like criminals?... legalize crime.)

Go speed racer go..

Luckily enough people contacted their representatives and collectively screamed -"the hell you will." The bills reappearance was a stealth attempt by Republican " deep-pocket-sock- puppets" to help the banks speed up the foreclosure process-by attempting to sweep-this ever expanding behemoth fraud monster under the carpet. And wasn't it this -hurry up-sell- tons of mortgages- by the banks- the very reason this all happened in the first place?

BEWARE THE QUICK FIX

When you hear Politicians talking about "we need to get this foreclosure thingy behind us-for the sake of the economy-you are hearing a lie. They are talking about the banking and investment economy that they are heavily infested invested in. Pull out that rug and "horror of horrors!"... they all lose their shorts.

Remember your lesson in Conservathink-when they say "we" they mean "we the wealthy" not you and me. And when they say something will be "good  for our economy" They mean their economy.

Wikipedia describes the good benefits of forest fires;

Though forest fires are one of the most destructive natural forces known to mankind-there are many positive benefits as well. Fires create ash which acts as a fertiliser; fires increase light on the forest floor; fires create a deeper humus layer which retains more moisture; and fires discourage insect infestation resulting in the overall health and well being of the forest itself.

What is true in nature is true in humanity. There are too many infestations afoot and the sick forest needs to burn so a healthy one can grow again.

Stock Up on Bug Spray

Showdown At The Old Republic Corral

Bank of America is unhappy-really unhappy.. with Old Republic Insurance Company.

Show Down

Bank of America is suing it's mortgage insurance company for not paying out enough claims.

BOA Corp.says that Old Republic Insurance Company is "manufacturing excuses" to deny the banks claims. BOA paid Old Republic to insure it against losses on potential borrower defaults and calls Old Republic's conduct "aggravating and outrageous"...

saying they are making "unreasonable interpretations" of the requirements in it's policies.

Manufacture this...

Old Republic says it is denying claims due to mistakes -or- missing paperwork-or- both.

But BOA claims missing paper work has " nothing to do with the claims."...... Really..

Old Republic says...it is denying claims where borrowers misrepresented their incomes...

BOA says.."That has nothing to do with it."

Big Snake Eats Little Snake Etc.

Old Republic says,"where's the missing paper work?"

BOA says.." that has nothing to do with it."

Old Republic Says,"then go screw yourselves."

BOA says," That has nothing to do with it."

Too Big To Fail  Bail  Jail?

According to the law suit, Old Republic's advertising promised that it would free up the banks to make more loans. When a borrower defaults Old Republic says," It becomes our expense not yours."

BOA Says " That's deceptive advertising."
Old Republic says. "That has nothing to do with it."

Old Republic Insurance says they can deny claims based on missing documents in loan policies-and they have been-so far $31 million in claims submitted by BOA have been denied. And $28 million's worth are still pending. (any guess how those will go?)

BOA claims,"Old Republic is running from coverage after loan defaults increased during the recession."
Bank of America is the largest home server in the U.S. -second  largest loan originator after Wells Fargo.
They claim that by paying out more than $870,000 a month to cover loans they aren't sure Old Republic will cover means.... they are the ones being screwed.

Regulators and lawyers across the county are wrestling with the banks over similar paperwork issues relating to foreclosing on customers. They are asking the banks "where's the paperwork to prove you own these homes?"

And the banks are saying,..."That has nothing to do with it."

Meanwhile countless people awaiting mortgage modifications from Bank Of America have either been;

(A) Approved-then foreclosed on.

(B) Denied and been foreclosed on.....or...(C) just plain foreclosed on.

The Big Cheat... How it works...

(1) They sell your loan in the secondary market for full value. (2) They then collect default insurance (usually about 90% of the loan amount. Then (3) They take your house.

Tidy little scam no?

Now that the sharks have eaten all of the bait -they are beginning to eye each other as potential prey.

Wikipedia says; While no species includes it's own species part of it's food chain-sharks frequently feed on each other...  especially during a feeding frenzy.

Sometimes it's best to let nature take it's course.

Let the feeding frenzy begin.

Ex-Post-Facto For Dummies

Constitutional roll of dice

Once upon a time when a bank sold a mortgage the county land recording office was paid a fee.
But then real estate boomed in the 1990's and banks pooled millions of mortgages into securities that investors bought and sold.

One mortgage became many-and the fees piled up-so the banks found a way around the fees by creating something never seen before-MERS- Mortgage Electronic Registry Systems Inc.

A private company owned by the big mortgage companies-Bank of America, Citigroup Wells Fargo JP Morgan Chase and GMAC.
MERS has registered 3 out of every 5 mortgages ever since and their motto is; "Process loans-not paperwork!"

But counties-scratching their heads began to ask "hey...what about our fees?" These fees average $30 per recording-and since mortgages were bought and sold multiple times the unpaid fees have been adding up over the years to the tune of tens of billions of dollars.

So already facing foreclosure fraud investigations in all 50 states the banks are now facing class action lawsuits on behalf of counties cheated out of billions in recording fees.

The Suit alleges that by privatizing public records-MERS enabled banks to go around American Property law (oops) and ignore county fees and paper work requirements. (double oops)

The suit could cost MERS $60-120 billion in damages and penalties from unpaid recording fees as the liabilities would add up as many states penalties run any where from $5,000-$10,000 per violation.

Anyway you slice and dice it-the banks would have had a lot at stake-that is until congress gets out their magic erasers- with a bill that could legitimize MERS criminal activity by retroactively strengthening the legal status of MERS.

Legislation is being drafted under the interstate commerce clause to ratify MERS and  everything it did retroactively. This is set to take place between now and the end of the year.

Questions are now being asked-could this be away to pardon the crooks? To let the big banksters off the hook for flagrant thievery? It may also amount to a permanent installation of a federal system that would take the place of  the county records for recording property rights.

And what would that mean? According to constitutionalists... it would mean a direct violation of the constitution which forbids enacting a law after the fact: Ex-post-facto law is a law passed after the occurrence of an event or action which retrospectively changes the legal consequences of the event or action.

Not that simple.

In 1798 the supreme court succeeded in muddling the issue saying ex-post facto only applies to criminal not civil laws and did not extend to "civil cases" -cases that merely affect the private property of citizens.

Now being called the "White Wash" bill, we will see how congress will deal with the issue.Chances are it will sneak through-the banks will be given a free get out of jail card and counties across the US will be told to just stick it.

WHITE WASH
To many who view this bill as an unconstitutional act if it were to pass the message would be -we live in a Nation where theft is made legal retroactively by Congress and the President-and would be a direct violation of the oath of office by every congressperson who votes for it.

The big question is;Will federal and states laws be retroactively amended to accommodate too big to fail institutions to avoid fraud in the name of stability? Will it be deemed necessary due to National Security or currency stabilization? And will the media sell us this solution as a way of stabilizing the housing market to keep housing prices from falling any further?

This is about who is above the law---and banks.. aren't can't, shouldn't, be but probably are above the law.

What kind of country do you want to live in?

I hear Canada is nice this time of year.

Interconnect Me

Feel The Connection

Did you know that in America- There are no rich-there are no poor-and there is no middle class.
Yes---it's true because in America----We are all interconnected.

Amazing words from a new found intermediary in contact with the divine? Maybe a  message from a secret society of outer worldly beings-observers since the dawn of time-who have chosen now- at this precise moment-- to deliver the message.. That we are all interconnected?

This mesmerizing message from Rand Paul is his way to convince us.. that taxing the rich 3% more will only hurt us all.

The Message....hurting us...means hurting you....because we are one.

Rand Paul says, "Well, the thing is, we're all interconnected. There are no rich. There are no middle class. There are no poor.We all either work for rich people-or we sell stuff to rich people." and Alex Castellanos (father of the attack ad) Republican Media consultant-top media advisor to Bush/Cheney agrees- in fact he practically channels Paul- with this ; "We are in a connected society now.Can you tax just the rich people's side of the water bucket? Can you take money out of that?"

Picture not a water bucket in your minds eye- but a pig trough--where one pig owns not only the contents of the trough but the trough itself;

Two pigs are at the trough-one the size of a Chihuahua--the other weighs 600 lbs. The big pig says to the little pig, "I will give you some of my food.....if I can have a  little bit of yours."

The little pig -being an uninformed trusting pig, thinks for a moment,"that seems reasonable" he says," as we are both pigs who need to eat and with only one trough of food-we can both survive if we share."
Both agree and the big pig eats first. When it's the little pigs turn he sees only one crumb left in the trough.
Alarmed the little pig cries,"there's only one crumb of food left- where did all the food go?"
"That's my contribution to you." the big pig grunts.

So the story goes.. With the big pigs in charge the little pigs can just go screw themselves.

If we were really interconnected wouldn't this be true;

Wouldn't it be more reasonable to say "Do tax the rich because we're a connected society?
If one believes we live in a truly connected society, then we should be willing to recognize that the connections in a healthy ethical society do not simply go one way...otherwise we are engaging in social Darwinism. We can't all be stock brokers-and just because someone doesn't earn a huge income doesn't mean they don't make important contributions.Cutting things like Social Security, education and health care only make us disconnected.

Clearly Aqua Buddha Rand Paul is the one who has unplugged his connection...if he ever had one in the first place.

Maybe disconnecting the greedy from some of their wealth will be like an intervention-getting the addict to face his sickness in order for him to become well again.

But like all addicts blinded by their addiction whether it be meth or money- the addicts are unable to see their world crumbling around them. The meth addict doesn't seem to notice that their teeth have fallen out-and the wealthy haven't seemed to notice America is crumbling. Both are addicts and both will self destruct at some point unless an intervention is enacted.

Rand Paul's statement could be interpreted as this; "Well the thing is we're all addicted, there are no rich addicts. There are no middle class addicts. There are no poor addicts. We either work for the drug lords, or we sell stuff to the drug lords."

How long will it be before the money addicts realize their teeth have fallen out? And all they are doing is defending the drug lords?

Would you let an addict determine your future?

The time is coming for an intervention...keep your pitch forks handy.
