Pay China First- Pay Americans Later.

Yet another great idea from Republicans. New Republican legislation in the House and Senate would force the U.S. government to put China and other foreign governments ahead of the line when it comes to paying debt obligations. China would be paid before Social Security beneficiaries if the debt ceiling isn't raised this spring.

Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) intends to require the Treasury to make interest payments on our debts the first priority -ahead of paying Social Security or others owed money by the Treasury.

Only the right wing would choose China over its own citizens. Maybe they want to assure China and multinational corporations that America values their business before its own people- making it clear where their loyalties rest. Critics of the bill say it will have a reverse affect making the statement that if America is such a deadbeat when it comes to paying its own citizens- what guarantee is there the government will honor any obligations. It would effectively lower our credit standing in the eyes of the world.

This insane idea brought to you by the party of no worthy ideas what so ever- would essentially make obligations to the American people secondary to paying foreign governments-especially China.This pay Americans later mentality just cements the idea the GOP loathes the American citizenry and the question being asked is -does the full faith of the American government extend to a lot of foreign countries but doesn't extend to the American people themselves? If you are a Republican the answer is no.

More right wing lunacy.

Utah is on the way to making a handgun a state symbol. Like all states Utah has a state bird, a state flower and the honey bee is its state insect. Now the right wing wants to make the Browning M1911 its official state firearm.

"It's an implement of freedom that has defended America for 100 years." bill sponsor Rep. Carl Wimmer (R)said. "This firearm is Utah."

Considering the recent mass shooting in neighboring Arizona that left 6 dead-you have to wonder if some in Utah have lost they grip on sanity. Imagine innocent school children decorating their classrooms with colorful renditions of a firearm. Only two state representatives opposed the bill-both Democrats.

If adopted Utah will join Mozambique in using a firearm on its flag

Now that's something to be proud of.


Stupid is as stupid does.........

State lawmakers in South Dakota have introduced legislation that would require all residents 21 and older to to purchase a firearm beginning in 2012. Many people are saying-"You can't be serious" And as rep. Harry Wick (R) one of the bills sponsors says,"Do I or other co-sponsors believe that the State of South Dakota can require citizens to buy firearms? Of course not. But at the same time, we do not believe the federal government can order every citizen to buy heath insurance."

Maybe Harry's little soap box protest should be funded with his own money instead of wasting tax payer funds. Harry thinks he's beeing funny-Harry thinks he's making a statement-Harry is a fool.

Maybe we should nominate Pat Toomey, Harry Wick and Carl Wimmer to be our Official National Idiots.


But they would have to stand in line behind the ever growing list of right wing candidates over qualified for the job.
